1001 Arab inventions
The Independent Online Edition covers a story about the 20th most important and influential inventions comming from the Arabic world. In the article they are referred as "Islamic inventions" but actually they have little to do with the actual religion and belief in that region and more with the over-all culture (which definitely includes, but is not limited to Islam). They are:

- Crank-shaft
- Quilting?
- Pointed (gothic) arch
- Many modern surgical instruments
- Windmill
- Inoculation
- Fountain pen
- Style of the numerals, algorithms, theory of trigonometry

- Carpets
- Cheques
- Earth as a sphere
- Rocket and torpedo
- Gardens
The exhibtion "1001 Inventions: Discover the Muslim Heritage in Our World" is currently at the Science Museum in Manchester.

Confusion between Arabs and Muslims. Most of these inventions are Persian, not Arab.

There is no difference between Muslim and Arab inventions because it is one and the same. Some of these scientists lived during The Umaiyyad,Abbasid and Ottoman dynasties... All this were Muslim dynasties. But the credit is attributed to Arabs to hide the Islamic factor.
Inshallah the truth shall be known despite thier schemes to corrupt and distort information.
